That, apparently, was the way Exley liked it. But the way it ended -- with Exley suffocating -- was not what he had in mind when he traveled from Britain for a bondage session with a man he had met through a sadomasochism Web site.

I have to admit, reading that has me a little shaken over my thoughts on bondage. I'd have to side with the family suing the guys estate in this one.

Oh I still like bondage, but I with you about this particular case Ezekiel.  He crossed the line during the scene and then went way over the top when he tried hiding the body.  Yuck.

It's also a good object lesson about the dangers of playing with people you don't know. At least its a good object lesson for those of us still living.

You'd think he'd realize that leaving a person alone like that with nothing more then a straw to breathe through was a bad idea. I mean, did he not stop and think about that for even a second?  :?

Oh, that makes my heart ache.

That's negligence, no questions asked. Kudos to NCSF and the other leather organizations that spoke out against it.

Interesting case. Innocent until proven guilty by a jury of one's peers. How many jurors will have other than the distorted Hollywood-type knowledge of S&M?

Again, an old post i am posting in, but I have to agree with mule on this one. The jurors will almost certainly have nothing but an image of BDSM people like the ones portrayed in CSI and criminal minds (such a balanced unbiased writing staff, and if you spot the sarcasm in that sentence then answers on a postcard).
The article richard originally posted no longer exists, and i have no details on the case, nor do i know if this poor chap was a member of the community, this site, or a friend of anyone here, so i am iffy about my comments here, i simply believe that mule makes a good point, the world does seem to associate "us" (if thats a reasonable analogy) with serial killing and violence.
I will say it again, thank god i found this place where i no longer feel like that.

(and again if my comments offended ANYONE in anyway, call me out on it, i am still finding my feet here and have no wish to step out of line, i would rather be corrected than cause further offence down the line)
