Self Bondage?

I don’t find the idea of putting myself into some sort of bondage anymore exciting than I do whipping myself.

But there is plenty of photographic evidence that many people either do manage to subject themselves to some sort of confinement or limitation or create a good facsimile thereof.

Have any of you tried any sort of self bondage?

I haven't. It seems risky, and the odds of getting caught are fairly high. Not just that, but it seems like it could be dangerous if you live alone.

 Just my initial impression. Seems similar to the auto-asphyxiatiors.

Yes and no.  I've done it.  I just didn't really restrain myself.  What I wanted was the feeling of ropes and something to pull against.  I never did anything I couldn't have easily gotten out of.  Velcro cuffs with my hands close enough that I could undo them easily worked just fine.

Im experimenting with it at the moment but there doesnt seem to be much stuff out there on self bondage or how to successfully do it.  Ive started doing a bit of 'work' with Dave Simpson for those of you familliar with his site (.. for those of you that aren't.. why on earth not!!!!! LOL!!) and I'm looking for new ideas to try out.

The problem lies in that I love my elbows being welded together and its obviously pretty hard to do that to yourself! And of course theres the issue of making sure there is somone to get you out if you do it right!!

This really worked... yes I know there was someone there but.... It was me that got myself there and.. well....there has to be if you are going to do a good job on yourself!
